This drawcrank drive breaks new ground in the field of punching and metal forming techniques. Alternatively this drive type is available either with a fixed stroke of with an automatic stroke adjustment. The particular coupling method of this drive type onto the eccentric shaft guarantees that all forces occurring during the punching process, and which are acting onto the eccentric shaft, will not be transmitted to the drive system.

The free programmable transfer system KETS, especially designed to be integrated in high performance Andritz Kaiser presses. These transfer systems can be used for presses with planetary gear, wheel gear and drawcrank drive. The special motion character of the slide has been considered for the design of the transfer drive and the transfer control system. Thus a fully synchronised motion course of transfer system and press can be obtained. The integration of the transfer system into the machine includes mechanics as well as electrics / electronics. Drives for feed, closing and lifting ways are in hanging position on top of the strip passage in the lateral column of the press. A modern and innovative driving concept is the basis for this transfer system and includes linear motors on the X-axe, equipped with absolute measuring systems.

The transverse shaft mechanism is manufactured from a heat treated steel forging and has slide bearings. The bearings inside the drive are lubricated via the central pressure oil circular lubrication system that has oil channels inside the press frame. The four largely remoted connecting rods assure high stability and avoid longitudinal and lateral overturn. The connecting rods are connected to the central pressure oil circular lubrication system.

Drive is made via frequency controlled three phase motor, with creep speed and flywheel brake. Compound wheel gear: the first gear stage is consisting of spiral geared, hardened and grind spur gear wheels. The second stage comprises herringbone gearing. All meshing points are connected to the central pressure oil circular lubrication system. Lubrication is made via 'injection lubrication'.
