Rotospir® shaftless conveyors can be compared to the traditional screw conveyors, but they are shaftless designed, sturdy and reliable, and can reach a length up to 60 m.

The Rotospir® conveyor offers an excellent answer to the processing difficulties of the following problematic materials and conditions :

• damp and muddy materials
• semi-fluid and sticky materials
• fibres and conglomerates
• unevenly sized, graded materials
• products which tend to cause vaulting
• processes which demand stringent hygienic controls

Features

• The shaftless design allows for larger capacities and better handling of fibres, conglomerates and granular products. The bearingless design helps to avoid troublesome product build-ups.  
• Measured at identical feed rates, the Rotospir® screw rotation speed is lower than traditional systems.  
• The spiral device is supported on only one end, where it is attached to the drive mechanism. The drive unit can function in either a “pushing” or “pulling” mode. When working in the “pushing” mode, it is possible to directly feed a second Rotospir® conveyor in a different inclination, if so desired.  
• It is equally possible to design very tight installations.
