ANDRITZ HYDRO receives further major order in Brazil

ANDRITZ HYDRO Brasil received an order for supply, installation supervision, and commissioning of equipment for the Jirau hydroelectric power plant, located on the Madeira River, northern Brazil, from Energia Sustentável do Brasil (ENERSUS). The order value is approximately 170 MEUR.

ANDRITZ HYDRO receives order to supply equipment for the Batalha hydropower station, Brazil

The consortium comprised of ANDRITZ HYDRO Brasil, ANDRITZ HYDRO Inepar, and IESA Projetos received an order to supply and install the electromechanical equipment for the Batalha hydropower station from the Brazilian federal utility, Furnas Centrais Elétricas. The order value is approximately 44 MEUR.

ANDRITZ: results for the first quarter of 2009

• Increase in sales, slight decrease in earnings
• Order intake below the previous year’s high value
• Good order backlog at approx. 4.5 billion Euros
• Unchanged good net liquidity at approx. 458 MEUR
