Andritz VA TECH HYDRO, a member of the international technology Group Andritz, has received an order from Madeira Energia S.A., Brazil for the supply of equipment, erection and commissioning supervision for the Santo Antônio hydropower plant to be built in Brazil. The order value amounts to approximately 250 MEUR.
On the occasion of the Andritz Capital Market Days 2008, Wolfgang Leitner, President & CEO of Andritz AG, today announced the long-term targets for the international technology Group up to 2010/2011, and confirmed the guidance for 2008.
International technology group Andritz and GE Energy (GE) have signed an agreement for the purchase by Andritz of GE’s majority interest in the GEHI (General Electric Hydro Inepar) joint venture. The other principal shareholder in GEHI, which was founded in 1997, is Brazilian conglomerate Inepar S.A. Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Enerjisa, a joint venture of Österreichische Elektrizitätswirtschafts-AG (Verbund) and H.Ö. Sabanci Holding A.S., Turkey, has chosen a consortium led by Andritz VA TECH HYDRO to supply the complete electro-mechanical equipment, including service work, for the Turkish hydropower plant cascade in Kahramanmaras (consisting of the Kandil, Sarigüzel, and Hacininoglu hydropower stations, with a total output of 452 MW). The order value is approximately 70 million Euros.
International technology group Andritz and General Electric Company (GE) have reached an agreement for the purchase of certain assets of GE Energy’s Hydro business. The closing of the transaction, which is subject to approval by anti-trust authorities, is expected to take place during the next few months. Financial terms were not disclosed
International technology Group Andritz has been entrusted with the supply of steam boilers based on fluidized bed combustion technology for power plants in Spain and Portugal using biomass as fuel. The value of the orders is over 80 million Euros.
Andritz VA TECH HYDRO, a member of international technology group Andritz, received an order with a value of approximately 65 million Euros for the supply of electromechanical equipment as well as steel linings and penstocks for the Pirris hydropower plant from Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), Costa Rica.
During the last two months, international technology group Andritz received several major orders for stainless steel annealing and pickling lines, rolling mills, and acid regeneration systems from renowned international stainless steel producers. The total value of these orders is approximately EUR 250 million.
International Technology Group Andritz received an order from Mondi Syktyvkar Pulp and Paper mill in Komi Republic, Russia, to supply a new recovery boiler, evaporation plant, and woodyard. The order also includes the rebuild of the existing fiberline. The typical order value for such a project is 100-130 MEUR; order completion is scheduled for 2010.
