FOR A CLEANER ENVIRONMENT
The PYROMARS process serves to recover “waste” mixed pickle acid from stainless steel pickling plants. This process ensures economical operation due to high recovery rates of acids and metals. Closed acid circuits greatly improve the environmental impact of the pickling operation. Many years of industrial-scale operation of PYROMARS plants have proved the economic and ecological advantages of this process.

Good reasons for the best technology:
- substantial reduction of pickling costs
- high recovery rates: hydrofluoric acid: 99% of free and bound acid, nitric acid: 80 % of free and bound acid, metals:99 %
- pickling under defined and constant operating conditions
- balanced acid management
- pickling slurry is extracted continuously from pickling plant
- adjustable concentration of regenerated acid
- use of rinse water from pickling plant
- no waste water production
- elimination of pollution control problems caused by spent pickling acid neutralisation
