| BIRD® TOLHURST® Flip-Top Centrifuge
The BIRD Tolhurst Flip-Top Centrifuge is ideally suited for pilot plant applications or where small batch product runs are required. The Flip-Top's compact size and top-loading design solve space problems, and the machine is available skid-mounted or with a portable base.
The Flip-Top is a fume-tight design that incorporates all the standard features of the Tolhurst® Centrifuge line. Its exclusive center-slung suspension reduces the effects of an unbalanced load, providing smoother operation overall.

- Feed-cone design increases productivity by assuring even distribution of feed slurry
- "Back blow" heel-removal system removes residual product and eliminates operator exposure

- Variable frequency drive to match basket speed with product filtration characteristic
- Center-slung suspension is designed to handle unbalanced or liquid loads
- Available in fume-tight and high-pressure designs
- Rapid change-out cartridge bearings take less time to service, increasing up-time
- Available in standard 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy® C-276 construction, or Titanium
- Available as a steam sterilizable centrifuge (optional)
