Customer orientation has always been a tradition with us. The founder of our enterprise, Eduard Küsters, was spurned by the idea of offering technologically new solutions which could be the answer to core questions of modern production. So it was only natural that in 1956, with the Swimming Roll Küsters®, he developed a decisive possibility of moving the goal posts for speed and fabric widths. Till today developments based on the Swimming Roll and other Andritz Küsters are essential factors in the rapid development of production capacities and their increasing flexibility.
By the way, in the development of innovations we do not leave anything to chance. Although good ideas can sometimes certainly be spontaneous. When business rests so firmly on innovative power, a systematic approach to this subject is vital. This is why we at Andritz Küsters have introduced a sophisticated innovation management system. In-house the system searches for good ideas (500 employees are 500 inventors) and, in addition, coordinates the cooperation with technical colleges, universities, institutes and partner enterprises.
One can only be innovative if one understands the market, one’s customers and their challenges. This is also why our developers and technological experts are both consultants and “trouble shooters” at the same time. On site, they tackle tasks to be solved and find suitable concepts that meet the individual requirements of the respective customer to an optimum.
