In late December 2002, VA TECH HYDRO in Canada was awarded a contract by Furry Creek Power for the supply, technical direction and start-up and commissioning of the generating equipment for the Furry Creek hydroelectric plant situated near Squamish in British Colombia. The Furry Creek generating station will house one single vertical 4 jet Pelton turbine including a synchronous generator, inlet valve and electrical, control and protection equipment. The engineer is Sigma Engineering of Vancouver B.C.
