In February 2003, VA TECH HYDRO signed a contract with Corporacion Dominicana de Electricidad (the Owner) and Dessau-Soprin International Inc, the Owner`s representative, engineer and manager of the project.
VA TECH HYDRO is responsible for the supply, installation, cabling, start up and commissioning of the generating equipment for the J.J. Puello mini hydropower plant located in the Dominican Republic.
VA TECH HYDRO`s scope of supply includes two horizontal Francis turbines, synchronous generators, inlet valves, HPU, electrical, protection and control equipment, installation, cabling as well as start up and commissioning.
