The signing of a contract for the installation of 2 ECOBulbTM units at the Paullo power plant near Milan marks the successful continuation of the introduction of the ECOBulbTM series into the market.
The features and advantages of the ECOBulbTM have once again convinced a customer. The general contractor, the Italian company S.T.E. srl, has awarded VA TECH HYDRO in France a contract for the installation of 2 runner regulated ECOBulbTM units.
The scope of supply includes the turbines inclined at 15 degrees with a runner diameter of 2,600 mm and commissioning. A complete CFD calculation of the intake significantly improved the quality of the flow pattern and therefore the units efficiency. Start of operation is scheduled for early 2004.
