Vikesa is the third big order secured by VA TECH HYDRO Jevnaker during the year 2002. After the full satisfaction of the customer Dalane Energi in Lindland, they opted now for another Compact unit. Norway is facing a very difficult infrastructure, the very low population density combined with steep mountains of extremely hard rock and fjords reaching deep into the land, seem to make the supply of electricity quite difficult. So without any doubt, being successful in the Compact Hydro Business in Norway requires the local presence of an affiliate. With the co-operation between Ravensburg and Jevnaker an optimal solution has been found. In Vikesa a horizontal Compact Francis Turbine is installed and the new SAT Turbine governor has also been sold.
