New products and machinery, and the advancement of existing processes, are an absolute necessity to secure longterm success of the Andritz Group.
Approx. 3% of total Sales are invested in Research and Development and contract related developments each year. A total of over 300 employees are working on R&D tasks. The Andritz Group holds over 3,700 patents and patent applications, as well as approx. 800 trademark applications and registrations worldwide.
Each Business Area has its own R&D facilities and pilot plants. Pilot plants are often used by potential customers. Actually, many new developments are brought to market in cooperation with customers.
Andritz has R&D facilities in Austria, Finland, France, Switzerland, and in the USA.
