Conditioning helps optimise the pellet quality

The correct conditioning of a feed compound is necessary in order to obtain a good pellet quality and an effective utilization of the pelleting or extrusion installation.

Conditioning improves compressibility and binding properties of feed mixtures by using:

Heat - Moisture - Time

CM Conditioner

The pellet mill pre-conditioner is an important part of the pelleting process providing:

  • Optimal pellet quality
  • High capacity
  • Efficient steam and liquid addition
  • Efficient energy exploitation
  • Long lifetimes for dies and press rollers

Extruder pre-conditioning ensure optimal mixing and starch cook:

In the Extrusion process line the conditioner ensure optimal mixing and starch cook. The retention time is accurately controlled and can from the control system be differentiated according to specific product and formula requirements.

  • Single or dual conditioners
  • Up to 400 seconds retention time
  • Flexibel retention time depending on product requirements
  • Constant high mixing efficiency whatever the retention time
  • Optimal starch cooking through high mixing efficiency

Design:

The conditioner is manufactured in stainless steel with heavy duty mixing aggregate and large access hatches for adjusting of paddles and cleaning.
The unique multiple orifice steam injection manifold distributes steam to the raw material. Via injection nozzles liquids are added ensuring optimum absorption of steam and liquids thus giving maximum temperature and homogeneity in the compound.
