Since 1982, drying technology based on the fluid bed system has been setting the standards in terms of
- Safety
- Simplicity
- Reliability
The fluid bed is generated by blowing fluidization gas uniformly over the dryer cross-section. The free-flowing granulate in the dryer begins to float and is at the same time mixed thoroughly. A fluid bed is characterized by movement of the granules, achieved by a gas stream passing through the product layer.
- direct sludge feed structures the granulate from the start
- dry product addition is not necessary
- the physical properties of the fluid bed result in a virtually dustfree final product
- low drying (product) temperature
- indirect heat supply via heat exchanger in the fluidized bed
- various heat sources may be used, e.g. thermo oil, steam, waste gas, etc.
- Product is treated in an inert atmosphere only (<3% O2), ensuring a high safety standard for the entire drying system
- Good environmental compatibility is ensured due to
- closed, gas-tight construction - low off-gas quantity from drying process - low odour emissions
- operating time 24 hours per day, seven days per week
- over 8,000 operating hours per year
- operation is possible without presence of personnel
- low repair and spare parts costs because there are no moving parts in the drying system
