Mixing the ingredients of the aquatic feed pellets prior to conditioning and extrusion is crucial to securing uniform quality.

ANDRITZ offers solutions for paddle or ribbon mixing in aquatic feed production. Ribbon mixing is highly suitable for dry mixing prior to extrusion of aquatic feed, whereas paddle mixing is suitable for mixing dry materials with the addition of large amounts of liquids.

Horizontal ribbon mixer – HB

Suitable for handling of all dry materials
Built-in modules for pre-bin, mixer, and discharge bin
Two opposing spiral ribbons providing an efficient mixing cycle
Mixing cycles of approximately four minutes
Mixing of up to 12 batches per hour
Mixing accuracy 1:100,000

Paddle mixer – HPB

Suitable for handling of all dry materials with the addition of high amounts of liquids
Addition of up to three liquid constituents
Mixing unit consists of shaft with paddles that are radially adjustable to ensure mixing accuracy
Mixing cycles of 3-4 minutes per mix (dry mixing)
Mixing of 10-12 batches per hour
