As a major supplier of calendering technology for more than 60 years, ANDRITZ offers thermobonding solutions for almost any application. Calenders can be configured with two, three, or more rolls and in vertical or horizontal layouts.  

Extremely high production capacities and high speeds demand superior calender technology. Particularly in the high-speed range of spunbond production, the roll technology is crucial to ensure quality of the final product. All neXcal nonwoven calenders are equipped with a deflection-controlled Hot S-Roll with a surface temperature up to 275° C. They achieve even bonding properties over the entire material width for all types of polymers.

With the three-roll neXcal twin, ANDRITZ has established a new benchmark: The state-of-the-art calender design, with high-speed Hot S-Roll and two pivoting counter rolls, enables pattern changes within minutes. The roll that is not in use can even be exchanged while the machine is operating with another engraved roll. This provides producers with the ultimate flexibility for nonwovens production.

All key components and rolls are manufactured in-house to ensure consistently high quality. Cooperation with the best roll engravers ensures consistent quality during the nonwovens product development stage plus the largest selection of patterns available. In addition, an own technical center offers the possibility of comprehensive trials at laboratory scale as well as practical expert advice.
