Dust free raw material intake and cleaning

ANDRITZ provides highly efficient raw material intake and cleaning for optimum storage of raw material for further aquatic feed processing. Either trucks or rail cars can enter the production zone directly to unload raw material, or the raw material is supplied in Big Bags in a dust-free environment. Some ingredients need suction to be unloaded, a solution which is also part of the ANDRITZ product portfolio. In this case, the raw material intake is managed through pipes on the outside of the factory building. The suction is applied directly from the truck, ensuring that there is no cross-contamination of raw materials.

When raw material is tipped by truck into a grid-protected unit in the floor, it is possible to unload large amounts of raw material at once. Raw materials supplied in Big Bags are handled with a special construction supporting the bag during emptying to avoid waste.

Both intake options are supported by a JESMA FILTER, type DFE, which stops dust from spreading into the plant and helps to keep the production environment clean. This highly efficient dust filtration system ensures that the dust is collected in the filter and can be re-used in production.

Clean raw material is a prerequisite for aquatic feed processing.
