ANDRITZ has approximately 4,800 patents and patent applications, and some 800 patented and registered brands.

Each business area has its own research and development facilities, as well as pilot plants. Numerous new developments are launched on the market in cooperation with our customers. The ANDRITZ research and development activities focus on helping customers achieve their goals in terms of economic and ecological sustainability. This work is aimed at increasing productivity in the customer’s plants and reducing the customer’s operating costs on the one hand, and at increasing the plant’s energy efficiency on the other hand. In the environment sector, ANDRITZ is concentrating its research and development work on the use of renewable energy resources.
