ANDRITZ HYDRO, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, was awarded a contract by state-owned utility Ukrhydroenergo for modernization of the Dnipro 1 hydropower station on the Dnieper River, Ukraine. The project is part of a rehabilitation program financed by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The contract value for ANDRITZ HYDRO amounts to approx. 60 million euros. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2021.
ANDRITZ MeWa, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has successfully commissioned the QZ 2500 cross-flow shredder supplied to UFH RE-cycling in Kematen, Ybbs, Austria.
ANDRITZ Nonwoven, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has successfully started up a complete needlepunch line – from webforming to needlepunching – supplied to AUTOTECH Nonwovens, India.
In connection with the recently announced order from KAMA Karton LLC, Krasnokamsk, Russia, where ANDRITZ will supply a complete new folding box board production line, ANDRITZ’s Pulping and Fiber Division is to supply a new BCTMP line and stock preparation line. The BCTMP line will be ANDRITZ’s 30th mechanical pulping system installed worldwide and is to be based on its proven P-RC APMP technology for hardwoods, thus confirming ANDRITZ’s strong global market position with references around the globe. Start-up of the complete KAMA production line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.
International technology group ANDRITZ saw solid business development in the past business year. In spite of a slight decline in sales to just over six billion euros, earnings and profitability reached the highest figures in the company’s history. The Executive Board will propose an increased dividend payment of 1.50 EUR per share to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from the Italian Burgo Group to rebuild and convert its PM2, a printing and white writing paper machine, and its approach system into a modern brown packaging paper machine at the Avezzano mill, Italy.

ANDRITZ successfully starts up the neXline wetlace production line for Akinal Sentetik Tekstil, Turkey
ANDRITZ Nonwoven, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has successfully completed start-up of the neXline wetlace line supplied to Akinal Sentetik Tekstil, the leading Turkish producer of nonwovens.
International technology Group ANDRITZ will be presenting its proven nonwovens technologies at INDEXTM17 in Geneva, Switzerland (April 4-7, Hall 2, booth 2114). As one of the world market leaders in advanced technologies for spunlace, thermobonding, air-through bonding, wetlaid, needlepunch, and spunjet, as well as excellent service, ANDRITZ Nonwoven offers customized and unique solutions to requirements from individual customers.
International technology Group ANDRITZ was awarded an order from Consorzio Cartiere in Tivoli, Italy, to upgrade the board machine and related stock preparation line at the mill in Tivoli. After start-up, which is scheduled for the beginning of 2018, the capacity of the board machine will be increased from 78,000 to over 100,000 t/a.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has been selected to upgrade the brown stock washing process in the fiberline at the Altri Group’s Celbi mill in Portugal. Start-up is scheduled for autumn 2017. The new DD-Washer and other fiberline equipment supplied by ANDRITZ will substantially improve the washing efficiency and increase the capacity of the hardwood fiberline.

ANDRITZ to supply water turbines and generators for the new hydropower plant on the River Mur in Graz
International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order from Energie Steiermark to supply the electro-mechanical equipment for the new hydropower plant to be built in the Puntigam district of Graz. Commissioning is planned for the first half of 2019.
ANDRITZ MeWa to supply new processing line for pulper rags to Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel, Germany
ANDRITZ MeWa, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order from Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel, based in Varel, Germany, to supply a processing line for pulper rags.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has acquired technology and intellectual property assets from Franssons Recycling Machines AB, located in Sundsvall, Sweden.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has successfully completed the rebuild of a sludge screw press at Stora Enso’s Anjala paper mill in Anjalankoski, Finland.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Sun Paper Holding Lao Co. Ltd. to supply main production technologies and equipment for a new pulp mill located in the city of Xepon, Lao People's Democratic Republic. Start-up is expected in mid-2018.
ANDRITZ HYDRO, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order from Eidsiva Vannkraft AS to supply electromechanical equipment for the new Nedre Otta hydropower plant in Norway and from the Government utility SNEL (Société Nationale d’Électricité) for rehabilitation of the existing Mwadingusha hydropower plant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
ANDRITZ Nonwoven, part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order from Hangzhou Pengtu, China, to supply a new spunlace line. Start-up of the line, which has a working width of 3.6m, is scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.
