Core System

The DIA TECH CORE System is the data-turntable in the entire system and builds the platform for all monitoring and diagnosis modules (Knowledge Modules).

The DIA TECH CORE consists of:

• DIA TECH MASTER
• DIA TECH GUI

DIA TECH MASTER

Data Management

DIA TECH MASTER is responsible for the Data Management. The Master system is designed to allow parallel working connections to different external systems and to ensure safe data recording and archiving. Validity check, data reduction and time stamping during acquisition belong to the basic functions of the Master system.

The Master system must be capable to exchange data with various data acquisition systems, which already exist in power plants. For a wide number of 3rd party systems the Master uses the interfaces MODBUS, OPC and IEC 60870-5-104.

Database (archiving)

The database is based on SQL-standard. The storage capacity depends on the size and number of storage disks, and also on the total number of data points. The smart data reduction allows real long term storage, which can last over years by using hard disks with several decades of GB capacity.

Network

DIA TECH MASTER uses preferably the standard facilities of Ethernet TCP/IP technology. This environment enables all important possibilities of LAN and WAN applications between various workstations, computers and systems. Further it allows remote access to DIA TECH Systems from any place on the world to access data as well as to execute system services.

DIA TECH GUI

The DIA TECH GUI is designed to provide relevant, smart and clear arranged information for diagnosis applications. This contains individual configurable mimics, a special message system for diagnosis messages, and a trend chart with long term indication and special tools which supports the engineers and experts in making deeper analysis.

Message system

One of the tasks of DIA TECH Systems is to inform the plant’s staff in an early stage with helpful messages generated by the various Knowledge Modules. Diagnostic messages are written in text form easy to understand problem reports and suggested actions to follow.
