Thanks to double regulation, with controllable runner blades and wicket gates, Compact Bevel Gear Turbines make the most of available energy through optimal efficiency and outstanding part-load characteristics. All guarantees are backed up by model tests in the ANDRITZ HYDRO laboratories.
Turbine, gearing and generator form a compact unit which is delivered fully assembled and shop-tested. This can be installed into the completed powerhouse in only one embedding phase thus reducing erection times and costs drastically.
The design concept of these compact turbines likewise reduces construction costs. Minimal powerhouse dimensions with simple intake and ouflow contours substantially reduce overall expenditures.
