Today low heads can be used for power generation very economic feasable. More than 300 units supplied by ANDRITZ HYDRO from heads up to 30 m, a maximum runner diameter of 7,700 mm and outputs up to 55 MW are the experience in this segment of hydro power generation.
The total installed capacity amounts to 4,500 MW approximately.
