Detailed Job Description

Major Duties:

Purchasing

  • Creation of purchase orders in Andritz SAP (ASAP).
  • Uses SRM to manage supplier contracts, agreements, certificates, etc.
  • Processing of goods receipts and invoices for payment.
  • Addressing vendor quality issues and handling complaints.
  • Issuing status reports on projects - reporting (weekly reports, statistics, etc.)
  • Supporting the Project Manager, Purchasing Manager, Category Managers and others in implementing their purchasing requirements.
  • Revising Andritz Terms and Conditions as needed for vendor purchases.
  • Creating weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports using BI.
  • Other activities as required to support purchasing functions.

Logistics

  • Clarification on delivery dates with demand holders after PO creation.
  • Following up on and expediting deliveries on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitoring of deliveries from sub-suppliers for schedule & quality compliance.

Sourcing/Category Management

  • Preparing and distributing Request for Quote packages.
  • Identification, selection, evaluation and development of Suppliers.
  • Managing/monitoring consultant agreements, NDAs, and insurance certificates.
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers before PO creation.

Candidate's Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in supply chain/logistics plus three years business experience.
  • Master's degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain/Logistics is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and execute verbal instructions coupled with the ability to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to project a positive, professional image to peers, customers and vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in all Microsoft Office software. (Advanced Excel skills preferred.)
  • Experience using an ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Purchasing and Logistics experience is a plus.
