ANDRITZ to supply aluminum production lines for the automotive industry in France and the USA

2015/02/04

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Constellium and the joint venture Constellium/UACJ to supply two continuous annealing and pickling lines and two finishing lines for production sites in Neuf-Brisach, France, and Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA.

Start-ups are scheduled for mid-2016 in the USA and the second half of 2016 in France.

The continuous annealing and pickling lines with floating furnaces have an annual capacity of more than 100,000 tons each and are used to process aluminum grades 5xxx and 6xxx for body-in-white aluminum used in the automotive industry. The scope of supply comprises the complete mechanical and electrical equipment as well as the chemical treatment and neutralization sectors. With the inline tension levelers, it is possible to process cold-rolled aluminum with a width of 800-2,200 millimeters and a thickness of 3.5-0.5 millimeters.

Constellium and UACJ are both global leading aluminum producers in their segments and headquartered in the Netherlands and Japan respectively.
