ANDRITZ subsidiary Schuler takes over leading toolmaker AWEBA

2016/04/12

Schuler AG, a member of international technology Group ANDRITZ, is to take over AWEBA Werkzeugbau GmbH Aue, one of Europe's leading toolmakers, and is thus further extending its activities in this business segment.

The transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities, and the parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the purchase contract.

AWEBA is based in Aue in the German Federal State of Saxony and generates annual sales of approximately 60 million euros with around 600 employees. The company supplies international customers from the automotive supply and electrical industries, as well as in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors. The product portfolio includes dies for forming, die-casting, and cutting, as well as precision parts and die-related automation equipment.

AWEBA complements Schuler's product portfolio in metalforming and extends the company's existing activities in toolmaking.
