ANDRITZ receives major order for a hydropower plant in Egypt

ANDRITZ HYDRO was awarded a contract from the Egyptian Ministries of Energy and Water Resources for the supply and installation of four bulb turbines, generators, and the electrical and hydromechanical equipment for the rebuild of the Assiut barrage, the oldest dam in the Egyptian section of the River Nile. The order value amounts to approximately 107 MEUR, the contract is scheduled to be put into force during the first quarter of 2012.

ANDRITZ receives another major order for pumped storage power station in Portugal

EDP – Gestão da Produção de Energia, S.A., has awarded the consortium ANDRITZ HYDRO (leader of the consortium), EFACEC Engenharia, and SMM-Sociedade de Montagens Metalomecânicas an order for the supply and erection of the complete electromechanical equipment for the pumped storage project Foz Tua.

ANDRITZ to supply hydropower equipment to Statkraft

ANDRITZ HYDRO has received an order from ÇETIN ENERJI A.S., a subsidiary of Norway's state owned electric utility company Statkraft, to supply the electromechanical equipment for the Çetin Hydropower Project in Turkey. The order value for ANDRITZ HYDRO is more than 90 MEUR.

ANDRITZ HYDRO to supply Francis turbines and generators for the Mica hydropower plant, Canada

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from British Columbia Hydro & Power Authority to supply two Francis turbines and generators to extend the Mica hydropower plant in British Columbia, Canada. The order comes into force in the first quarter of 2011 and has a value of approximately 110 MEUR.

ANDRITZ to supply major equipment for Belo Monte hydropower plant

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Norte Energia, Brazil, to supply - as part of a consortium composed of Alstom (consortium leader), ANDRITZ, and Voith - three Francis turbines and generators, as well as 14 excitation systems for the main power house, as well as six bulb turbines and six generators, all auxiliary equipment and other hydro-mechanical equipment for the Pimental power house of the Belo Monte project. The order value for ANDRITZ is approximately 330 MEUR.

ANDRITZ HYDRO receives international orders to equip four hydropower plants

International technology Group ANDRITZ received orders to supply the electromechanical equipment for the new hydropower plants Hissmofors, Sweden, and Pare, India, as well as for the refurbishment of the existing hydropower plants Hills Creek, USA, and Rio Macho, Costa Rica. Aggregate order value for all four contracts is approximately 80 MEUR.

ANDRITZ HYDRO to supply electromechanical equipment for the Ribeiradio and Ermida hydropower plants, Portugal

International technology group ANDRITZ has received a contract from Electricidade de Portugal (EDP) to supply the complete electromechanical equipment for Ribeiradio and Ermida hydropower stations. These new power plants will be built on the Rio Vouga river approximately 100 km south east of the city of Porto. Commissioning is planned for early 2014.
