ANDRITZ successfully starts up Japan’s first steel yankee for tissue machines
International technology Group ANDRITZ has successfully started up the PrimeDry Steel Yankee (diameter: 3.7 m; shell length: 4.3 m) supplied to Doh-Ei Paper, Japan. At its Hokkaido mill, Doh-Ei produces 4,500 t of facial tissue and 14,500 t of toilet tissue per year made from 100% recycled paper.

ANDRITZ to supply green liquor pulping system for JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, Russia
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (APPM) to supply equipment for a new semi-chemical pulp line for APPM’s Novodvinsk mill, Russia. The green liquor cooking and washing technology by ANDRITZ will improve the fiber quality and reduce production cost as well as the effluent charge. Start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.

International technology Group ANDRITZ has successfully started up the steel yankee and headbox supplied to a customer in Indonesia for a new MG paper machine. With a shell length of 7.4 m, this steel yankee is the longest of the world hitherto.

With a speed of 1,650 m/min, the 2,850 mm wide PrimeLineCOMPACT tissue machine has an annual production capacity of 25,000 t.

International technology Group ANDRITZ has been selected by Mondi Group to supply a 1,200 tds/d recovery boiler for Mondi Frantschach at its mill in St. Gertraud, Austria. The boiler is scheduled to start up in the second half of 2013.

ANDRITZ to supply FibreFlow drum pulper to Jeonju Paper Corporation, Korea
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Jeonju Paper Corporation to supply a drum pulper for its Cheongwon mill, Korea. By installing the new system, the quality of the newsprint pulp produced will be improved, fiber losses will be minimized, and power consumption further reduced. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2012.

ANDRITZ to supply new flotation system to EcoPaper JP, Japan
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from EcoPaper JP to supply a flotation system for its Nagoya mill, Japan. By installing the new system, the power consumption will be significantly reduced, the quality of the pulp produced will be improved, and the fiber losses will be minimized. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2012.

ANDRITZ Energy & Environment receives major order to supply equipment for two coal-fired power stations in Chile
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from the Chilean electricity generation company AES Gener S.A. and its subsidiary Norgener S.A. to supply two turnkey flue gas desulphurization plants, including two fabric filters, for Tocopilla coal-fired power plant (output 2 x 140 MW), as well as a flue gas desulphurization plant and a fabric filter for Unit 1 (120 MW), and a bag filter plant (218 MW) for the Ventanas coal-fired power station. The order value is close to 100 MEUR. Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013.

Successful start-up of a further ANDRITZ tissue paper machine for Hengan Group, China
International technology Group ANDRITZ has successfully started up the PM11 tissue paper machine supplied to Hengan Group Chongqing. Hengan Group, one of the leading producers of tissue paper in China, now has six ANDRITZ PrimeLine machines in operation. Three more machines will be started up during this year, two of them equipped with the world’s first wide steel yankees (diameter: 5 m) for high-speed machines.

PAVATEX is a leading supplier of high-quality wood fiber insulating systems for the building industry. Start-up of the new isolation board line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.

Successful start-up of the ANDRITZ tissue machine for Fushun Mining Group, China
International technology group ANDRITZ has successfully started up the PrimeLine tissue machine supplied to Fushun Mining Group. With this tissue machine, whose components were manufactured in the ANDRITZ production facilities in Europe and China, the Fushun Mining Group – so far active primarily in the mining and oil shale processing sectors – has now embarked on production of sanitary papers.
