History of Sindus ANDRITZ

Sindus ANDRITZ is now part of the ANDRITZ GROUP and operates the maintenance solution division within the PULP & PAPER business area.
1987     Six college students start a business in maintenance and repair of instruments for industrial laboratories.
1989     A special gas analyzer is developed, focusing on continuous process industries. In the same year, the first TRS (Total Reduced Sulphur) analyzer is sold to the Riocell pulp mill (today CMPC Guaiba), marking the company's entry into the pulp and paper segment.
1992     Riocell outsources the analyzers and Sindus begins its history of providing industrial maintenance services.
1993     Riocell also outsources instrumentation, electrical automation, and metrology. Soon after, more customers appear from several other industries (oil and gas, mining, chemicals, etc.)
2005     Sindus develops process optimization software, the “Sindus OPP”, which has become the premium product offered by the company for process optimization. Also, an online asset management platform for maintenance contracts is set up.
2007     The ANDRITZ GROUP acquires 50% of Sindus’ shares, creating a Joint Venture named “Sindus ANDRITZ”.
2010     ANDRITZ acquires the remaining 50% of Sindus shares, forming the legal entity named “Sindus ANDRITZ Ltda.”, which operates the ANDRITZ maintenance solutions division within the PULP & PAPER business area.
