Pelleting of aquatic feed

For some aquatic species, pelleted feed is the obvious choice considering the pellet shape, density, ingredients, and also cost-efficient production. Shrimp feed is one of the feed types for which pelleting technology is suitable.

When choosing to pelletize aquatic feed, double-pelleting is a solution used to obtain the desired hardness of the pellet. The friction heat from the pelleting process increases the gelatinization of the pellets and a very hard pellet can be obtained due to the double-pelleting process.
