Bonding technologies for nonwovens
ANDRITZ supplies superior bonding technologies for spunlaid, airlaid, drylaid, or wetlaid nonwovens.
Whether the nonwoven fabric is formed with a spunlaid, airlaid, drylaid, or wetlaid process, ANDRITZ offers precisely the right bonding technology to enhance the end product. Our core competences are hydroentanglement and thermobonding.
A pioneer in hydroentanglement ANDRITZ Perfojet has now installed more than 160 machines and production lines around the world. Hydroentanglement (spunlacing) uses fine, high pressure water jets to entangle the fibers. It is mainly applied to drylaid webs, but also applicable to spunlaid (spunjet) or wetlaid (wetlace) webs.
ANDRITZ Küsters draws upon its long expertise in calendering, with more than 2,500 calenders sold. Thermobonding with a calender utilizes heat and high pressure applied through rolls to bond the synthetic fibers. It is mainly applied to spunlaid webs, but also applicable to drylaid, airlaid, or wetlaid webs.
In our technical centers, we provide customers with the ability to evaluate new processes and develop new products with our bonding technologies.
