DIA TECH MFX enables the continuous on-line monitoring of magnetic field of rotor poles to identify and evaluate changes of the magnetic flux intensity. These changes help to diagnose short circuits in the turns, which can cause magnetic imbalances and lead consequentially to unwanted vibrations.
Problem to be detected:
- Changes of magnetic flux caused by disturbances or imbalances
- Interturn fault (short circuit between turns)
Required soft- and hardware:
- Single Axis Magnetic Field Transducer based on Hall effect
- MFX processing rack & fast A/D-conversion (6 kHz sampling)
- Computer with condition monitoring software
