The Project Engineer/Designer will work with engineers, designers and project managers to develop finished drawings for electrical control systems.
Principle duties include the design of main control boards with an emphasis on protection equipment, PLC control enclosures, selection of motor control components, programming PLCs and HMIs, documentation creation and field support and startup.
Documentation includes all necessary wiring diagrams, panel layouts, material component descriptions, bills of materials, PLC ladder logic, HMI graphics, Control Narratives, Operation and Maintenance manuals, commissioning procedures, and other supporting documentation necessary to adhere to the customer's requirements during the submittal process and to ensure the correct interpretation for component procurement.
Duties include:
Develop detailed industrial control panel layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Develop panel layouts, cabling diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
Write specifications, technical procedures, bills of materials, and other related tools.
Support project related activities.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated with above-average accuracy and attention to detail, and will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls in PLC based systems in a heavy industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, designing, programming, and troubleshooting equipment and control systems.
Specific experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
AutoCAD proficiency required. AutoCAD Electrical a plus.
Specification writing experience.
