ANDRITZ receives rebuild order from Kolicevo Karton, Slovenia

2010/06/22

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Kolicevo Karton, Slovenia, to rebuild its KM 2 wet section (wire and press section).

The aim of the rebuild is to increase production from the current maximum of 140 m/min to 200 m/min, as well as to improve the quality of the produced folded boxboard (GC grade). Start-up is scheduled for December 2010.

ANDRITZ’s PULP & PAPER business area is to supply a headbox (PrimeFlow SW), a Fourdrinier wire section (PrimeForm SW), and a shoe press (PrimePress X). The existing cylinder mold formers will be replaced by a new Fourdrinier wire with the ANDRITZ hybrid former (PrimeForm HB). The existing wet section (including the press section) will be re-located to make room for additional drying cylinders to increase performance.

Kolicevo Karton is a member of the Mayr-Melnhof Group, the largest producer of folded boxboard in Europe and the leading producer of coated recovered cartonboard worldwide.
