Review HYDRO Automation Day 2019

A special event for a worldwide unique product

The HYDRO Automation 2019 took place in Vienna, Austria on May 14, 2019. More than 180 experts, hydropower plant operators, private investors, and partners out of 15 countries accepted our invitation.

The event was opened by a welcome speech of Mr. Wolfgang Semper, Member of the ANDRITZ Board and Managing Director of ANDRITZ Hydro. Special customer keynotes were given by Mr. J. Lackner (VERBUND / Austria), Mr. S. Jäger (KW. Birsfelden / Switzerland), and Mr. Rieckmann (Schluchseewerke / Germany) – reviewing the cooperation experiences with ANDRITZ regarding their relevant projects.

This year, the highlight was the presentation of the next stage of HIPASE – our worldwide unique product - comprising a dedicated paper of the HIPASE concept as well as an impressive HIPASE product show. To cover general automation requests and to meet the needs of the market special papers for large comprehensive automation architectures, automation solutions for hydropower cascades, cyber security, Metris DiOMera, and modelling were presented in the technical part. In addition to the interesting technical presentations, this day offered many opportunities for an intensive information exchange among all participants.

After a long conference day with top class paper presentations the participants enjoyed a delightful gala dinner while reviewing the day and all the opportunities for discussion and networking.

The HYDRO Automation Day is an important event for our hydropower automation customers and underlines our leading position in this market and we were pleased to receive again so many guests.
