ANDRITZ HQ-Press

The patent-pending ANDRITZ HQ-Press delivers bark with approximately 5%-units higher dry solids content than any competitive unit. This can increase the net green energy value of the bark up to 15%.

Unlike competitive units which have enclosed structures, the HQ-Press has an open, simple design. The components are easily accessible for maintenance. As a side benefit, the open design helps with housekeeping activities which reduces odors and mold spores in the operating environment.

The design of the HQ-Press features a self-orienting drum with two-phase pressing to achieve the higher dryness.  While conventional presses typically achieve an annual average of 40% dry solids, the HQ-Press is able to deliver an annual average of 45% dry solids in normal operation.  Advanced controls on the unit maximize the output under a variety of operating conditions.

Horizontal Feed Crusher BSY

The horizontally fed ANDRITZ BioCrusher BSY is a biomass crusher developed to process woody-based biomass into uniform particle sizes. The BioCrusher BSY is designed for crushing residuals from forestry, saw mills and panel board mills, as well as round wood and branch bundles. It is lso suitable for crushing any other woodbased pre-crushed materials into smaller, uniform particle sizes.  

The ANDRITZ BioCrusher utilizes its whole width for the crushing of the raw materials, meaning less blockages from variation in material quality and from varying feed consistency. This also results in more even wear and tear on the crusher knives, which means less frequent maintenance and part replacement. The enclosed design - with no exposed moving parts – increases work safety, as well as reduces exposure to dust, and together with sturdy construction also helps to reduce noise and vibration.

Drop Feed Crusher BSX

The drop feed ANDRITZ BioCrusher is designed for high capacity crushing of bark and breakage from the log debarking process including difficult-to-handle wood species like eucalyptus and acacia. These wood species, as well as the easier ones like pine, spruce and birch are crushed into uniform particle sizes. The ANDRITZ BioCrusher spreads the material efficiently thus utilizes its whole width for the crushing action, which results in more even wear and tear on the crusher knives and higher availability.  The enclosed design increases work safety, as well as reduces exposure to dust, and together with sturdy construction also provides reduced noise and vibration levels.

Shredders:

BMV-15 bark shredder

This sturdy bark shredder is right at home in the automated wood room. It is not sensitive to foreign objects and it produces a homogeneous bark supply. The BMV is designed to produce optimum bark particle size. Bark is fed into the shredder from a conveyor and processed with a combination of hammers and knives to complete the shredding operation. Most foreign objects are crushed by the hammers, but the swiveling rotor knives will swing away if a large uncrushable object does enter the unit. As an added precaution, the upper stator hammers are flex-mounted, with an overload pin for safety.

Hooper bark shredder

This bark shredder has been proven in over 150 installations worldwide. A range of capacities ensures there is a design for any operation. Its rugged design and reliable infeed allows the Hooper bark shredder to shred large pieces of bark and occasional small pieces of solid wood for use in boiler fuel or mulch. Pivoting knives swing out of the shredding zone when they hit rocks or metal, allowing the tramp material to discharge with minimum consequences.

Biomass screen oversize shredder (ATEX)

The shredder BSB10 is designed for biomass screening systems In the shredder, two shredding rolls crush and shred frozen lumps, oversize fuel particles and occasional logs and stumps. Capacity for oversize materials 80 m^3/h (60% filling).
