Leading technology for best production efficiency and excellent product properties
The ANDRITZ Asselin-Thibeau crosslapping technology is based on long years of experience and continuous innovations since 1956. The most important milestones are the replacement of wooden slats by aprons in 1971, the launch of the “short textile path” in 1990, and of the ProDyn technology in 1999, which has remained unequaled up to the present day.
ANDRITZ offers three ranges of crosslappers:
- Elite and Active conventional horizontal crosslappers with long textile path for cards and/or processes requiring input speed of up to 70 m/min
- Profile crosslappers with short textile path, profiling capability and input speed of up to 170 m/min for all types of card, and production lines requiring higher productivity and web profile improvement
- Dynamic crosslappers with short textile path, combining Profile and ProDyn capabilities, for Dynamic eXcelle cards, equipped with scanning gauge and fully automatic closed loop control. Input speeds: over 90 m/min and up to 170 m/min
Depending on the model, crosslappers can be offered for cards with up to 3.5 m working width and for delivery aprons up to 15 m wide. All transfer carriages and aprons are individually motorized in order to control the batt weight distribution.
Additional devices like ACS and Ouat!sys customize the crosslappers depending on the type of card webs and the final products.
All ANDRITZ Asselin-Thibeau crosslappers are designed for easy installation in nonwovens production lines. They contribute towards a remarkable reduction in production costs because the improved regularity saves fibers.
