Axial flow turbines

Compact Hydro axial flow turbines are single or double regulated machines for very low to medium head applications with a net head up to 45 m.

The Compact Hydro Division of ANDRITZ HYDRO is among the world leaders in products and services for small and medium-sized hydroelectric power plants.

The features of the Compact Hydro axial flow turbines ensure a wide range of applications according to specific needs and include heads from 2 to 45 m, discharge rates up to 100 m³/s, and a power output range from about 300 to 15,000 kW.

All guarantees concerning efficiency, output and resistance to cavitations are backed up by model tests in the ANDRITZ HYDRO laboratories for three to six bladed runners, double or single regulated, horizontal or vertical axis.

for head up to 12 m and outputs up to 2,600 kW

for a net head up to 20 m and outputs up to 10,000 kW

for a net head up to 20 m and outputs up to 10,000 kW

PIT units

for a net head up to 15 m and outputs up to 5,000 kW

Kaplan units

for a net head up to 45 m and outputs up to 15,000 kW

CAT units

for a net head up to 35 m and outputs up to 15,000 kW

S-Type units

for a net head up to 35 m and outputs up to 10,000 kW
