ANDRITZ O2 Delignification ACE is a control optimization system powered by BrainWave that stabilizes kappa, temperature, and pH, even when production rates are changed.
ACE starts by closing loops and stabilizing operations with the patented BrainWave controller. BrainWave develops response models of the kappa, reactor temperature, and pH based on the control actions and system responses observed during normal manipulation of O2 charge, steam flow, caustic, and alkali charge. BrainWave then precisely controls all reactor variables, while considering the time delay and measured disturbances.
After BrainWave has stabilized the process, ACE is then implemented as a supervisory layer to manage the optimal selection and weighting of manipulated variables (alkali charge and temperature) while performing diagnostics of measurement signals used in control. ACE links to a fiber processing history tracking module, which contains a database of profiles of measured, manipulated, and controlled variables inside the reactors. ACE will then communicate with upstream and downstream ACE processes to coordinate production rate management.
