Since then, more than 2,200 hydropower units with a total capacity of 12 GW have been installed or rehabilitated. Today, the ANDRITZ Hydropower operation in Italy is responsible not only for the domestic market, but also for many Markets in South America, especially Peru and Chile, and South Europe (Portugal and Spain).

Global Control Center in Schio

ANDRITZ Hydropower in Italy can count on experienced employees and a facility located in Schio, whose mechanical and assembly workshop covers 1,500 square meters with six cranes up to 80 tons, plus a storage area of 1,000 square meters and an electrical engineering laboratory of 210 square meters.

The GCC in Schio is the beating heart of the Hydropower O&M business globally, connected with the Local Monitoring Centers (LMC) around the world, create a digital infrastructure within ANDRITZ Hydropower and a direct connection with the customer’s assets.

Global Control Center – GCC

The ANDRITZ Hydropower Global Control Center (GCC) for our O&M activities is operating in Schio featuring advanced monitoring, control services and data analytics. It is based on the Metris DiOMera platform and is globally available for the whole ANDRITZ as it can be remotely connected to hydropower installations worldwide.
