Together with our committed and expert teams we are very proud to celebrate Mr. Guinard’s pioneering spirit and the 50th year of our business.
In 1936, Mr. André Guinard, the renowned inventor of piston pumps, founded ‘Les constructions Guinard’. Some 15 years later he created a department dedicated to centrifugation and in 1973, Mr. Guinard split the activities of his industrial company into two. Mr. Guinard’s decision birthed “Guinard Centrifugation” based in Châteauroux, France. Several years later Guinard Centrifugation would become ANDRITZ.
Totally dedicated to the production of decanters for wastewater treatment at origin, over time the site has transformed. While still offering topquality service, it also integrates the engineering and production of equipment focused on the environmental and food markets.
Now, the ANDRITZ site in Châteauroux is a competency center for decanter centrifuges D (environment) and F (food), and for screens, presses, drains, as well as vacuum filters (Tilting Pan Filter and Ucego©). It is also a high-performance service center, which integrates industry 2.0 technologies and the latest IoT developments into its systems.
