ANDRITZ neXline airlaid for wipes: Sophisticated technology for advanced wipe production

Bulky, strong and high performing, wipes produced on the ANDRITZ neXline airlaid

The ANDRITZ neXline airlaid is designed to meet the growing demand for high‑performance dry wipes, kitchen wipes, and hygiene wipes. As part of the ANDRITZ Nonwoven & Textile technologies portfolio, the neXline airlaid configuration uses airlaid fiber forming combined with binder application and flat‑oven bonding, enabling the production of highly absorbent and voluminous wipes, while maintaining a soft, textile‑like touch. By processing pulp fibers into a homogeneous, single‑layer web, neXline airlaid delivers wipes with exceptional absorbency, bulk, and softness – ideal for premium consumer and professional applications.

Based on ANDRITZ expertise in airlaid technology

The technology allows efficient processing of pulp for wipes, consistent with ANDRITZ’s broader expertise in airlaid production lines and stand‑alone forming units. ANDRITZ offers complete systems including defibration, airlaid forming, drying, and optional recycling technologies – especially valuable for pulp‑rich absorbent products.

Thanks to its high pulp content, the neXline airlaid wipe combines excellent absorption performance with bulkiness and softness, making it particularly suitable for dry wipes, household cleaning wipes, kitchen wipes, and hygiene wipes. Additionally, the airlaid web can be laminated or combined with other layers – such as carded or tissue layers – to enhance strength and durability depending on the customer’s application needs.

BENEFITS:

  • Exceptional absorbency due to the high pulp content, ideal for spills, cleaning, and hygiene tasks.
  • High bulkiness and superior softness, giving the wipe a premium feel.
  • Efficient production of dry and hygiene wipes, supported by proven ANDRITZ airlaid and pulp‑processing expertise.
  • Versatile product design – the airlaid web can be combined with other layers to increase tensile strength or softness.
  • Plastic‑free options available, supporting environmentally conscious product portfolios.
  • Stable, homogeneous web structure, thanks to the airlaid forming process and binder‑flat‑oven bonding.

Features:

  • Single-layer airlaid pulp web produced via an air-based forming process.
  • Chemical bonding with latex binder for enhanced stability.
  • Bonding through flat‑oven drying to ensure consistency and strength.
  • High absorbency performance from pulp‑rich compositions.
  • Bulky, soft wipe structure ideal for consumer comfort and handling.
