Some ideas are so simple that you wonder why nobody has thought of them before. In a way, this is the case with the ANDRITZ air blade. This instrument is used in drylaid production processes and after the carding system. Primarily designed for needlepunch lines, the ANDRITZ air blade significantly reduces fiber accumulation on the take-off rollers and guarantees better web flattening on the output apron. It alsoensures uniform trimming of superfluous fibers from the material web. This results in more even distribution of the fibers on the surface before they are processed, for example in a crosslapper.
