ANDRITZ appoints Regis Ataides as Vice President Automation & Digitalization

ANDRITZ Feed and Biofuel has appointed Regis Ataides as Vice President Automation & Digitalization (AD), while he continues in his role as Vice President of Metris Technology. The appointment strengthens ANDRITZ’s focus on digital innovation, automation, and customer value across Feed and Biofuel.
With more than 25 years of experience in industrial digitalization, Regis brings deep engineering expertise combined with strong software leadership. He has spent his career developing and deploying digital solutions for industrial applications and now brings this experience together within ANDRITZ’s Automation & Digitalization organization. “ANDRITZ has a truly unique position in the market,” he says. “We combine in-depth knowledge of machines, processes, and plant operations with world-class software development. This allows us to deliver digital solutions that directly increase our customers’ performance.”
In his expanded role, Regis will focus on accelerating growth in Automation & Digitalization over the next 12 months, building on the strong capabilities already in place within Feed and Biofuel. The emphasis will be on sharpening regional and solution focus, aligning teams closely with customer needs, and supporting ambitious growth targets.

Metris Technology will continue to play a central role in ANDRITZ’s Group-wide digitalization strategy. Developed and continuously enhanced over more than 15 years, the Metris platform reflects ANDRITZ’s long-term investment in digitalization. “Many companies are either machine builders or software providers. ANDRITZ is both. This combination enables us to translate real operational experience into practical, high-impact digital solutions.”
Regis places strong emphasis on customer-centric execution and people-driven leadership. “My role is to enable teams, create alignment, and remove obstacles so they can concentrate on what matters most- our customers.”
Looking ahead, automation and digitalization remain key growth drivers for Feed and Biofuel. While automation provides a strong foundation, digitalization is seen as the main differentiator, adding operational knowledge and performance insights on top of core systems. Particular focus will be placed on unlocking growth potential in across the regions.
