SNPTEE 2025: Great connections, genuine networking!
From October 19 to 22, ANDRITZ Hydropower Brazil took part in the XXVIII National Seminar on Power Generation and Transmission (SNPTEE), held at the Recife Expo Center in Pernambuco’s capital.
The event, promoted by CIGRE-Brazil and organized by Eletrobras, has established itself as the largest technical meeting in the electric power sector in Latin America, bringing together over 3,000 participants from 14 countries and 238 cities. It was four days of intense knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions on challenges and opportunities, especially those related to the energy transition in Brazil and worldwide.
We were present at booths 41, 42, and 43, showcasing our power generation and transmission solutions, with strong emphasis on synchronous condensers and pumped storage plants. This visibility allowed us to strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and experts, positioning the brand as a reference in the sector, with around 300 visitors stopping by our stand.
One of the highlights of our participation was the presentation “Technologies to ensure the growth of renewable sources and avoid curtailments”, delivered by our colleagues Luiz Fontes and Lucas Pataro on October 21. The session addressed strategies and solutions to integrate renewable sources into the power grid, avoiding waste and ensuring system stability — a crucial topic given the rapid expansion of solar and wind energy in Brazil.
With a program that included 518 technical reports, 33 specialized lectures, 3 thematic forums, and 16 study groups, SNPTEE 2025 reaffirmed its strategic role as a space for innovation and collaboration. ANDRITZ is proud to contribute to this dialogue and present technologies that support the continuous evolution of Brazil’s electric power sector. connections that drive the future of the electricity sector in Brazil and worldwide.
