AFRICA 2025 in Accra, Ghana was more than a conference — it was a powerful statement on the continent’s role in shaping the global energy transition.

Our team shared insights on hybridization, small hydro, and decentralized pumped storage, highlighting how innovation can unlock access and resilience across Sub-Saharan Africa.

We were honored to co-host the welcome beach reception and engage with partners from across the continent. A special moment: the second visit of 🇦🇹 Austrian Ambassador Jürgen Heissel at the farewell dinner — a strong signal of Austria’s commitment to sustainable energy collaboration.

As a direct follow-up to the event, we had the honor of presenting ANDRITZ Hydropower to the Minister of Energy and Green Transition and the delegation. The discussion focused on the importance of hydropower in Ghana’s green transition and future opportunities. We were also pleased to be joined by His Excellency the Austrian Ambassador.

With over 36 African nations consuming less than 500 kWh per capita annually, the urgency for reliable, renewable energy is clear. We’re proud to be part of the solution. Let’s keep the momentum going.
