Slitting

Be it heavy or light gauge, ANDRITZ Metals USA has the slitting solution that will set you apart from the industry.

Not only do we have standard loop style slitting lines, we also offer Strand Extensioner Slitting which eliminates the need for a looping pit while also allowing the end user to improve the quality of the slit mults beyond that of the master coil. We offer solutions for High Strength Steel, Non-Ferrous applications and heavy gauge tube slitters. We also offer replacement slitter heads and we rebuild ALL brands of slitters.

Strand Extensioner® slitting

The Strand Extensioner® is the most effective process available to enhance product quality and expand your markets. It can produce a slit mult that is of higher quality than the master coil. This process will slit, provide shape correction, maintain critical material surface quality, and reduce burr, in one safe and highly productive operation. Slitter operators prefer Strand Extensioner Slitting because of its tight-line operation which does not require a looping pit.
