Metris Ball Mill ACE is an APC designed to manage the primary control functions of the Ball Mill and associated process equipment. Its objective is to maintain consistent cyclone feed pressure and density at specified targets while keeping the Ball Mill sump level within an acceptable range. This is essential to achieve a constant P80 and improve recovery in flotation.

TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, METRIS BALL MILL ACE PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING FEATURES:

Control of the pressure and percentage of solids in the hydro-cyclone battery.
Reduction of P80 variability to maximize recovery in flotation.
Automatic control of the number of cyclones in operation.
Automatic rotation of cyclones in service to prevent premature wear.
Management of the ball mill sump level and any disturbance coming upstream.
Protection of the ball mill sump pump from overload
