ANDRITZ recently introduced an entirely new technology that extracts even more valuable substances – such as proteins, polyphenols or dietary fibers – from organic material, especially side streams in food processing. The Turbex extraction system. With our continuous technological advancements, we increase yields and returns still further. ANDRITZ unlocks the additional value from the natural by-products of your process while significantly reducing your CO2 footprint. Our Turbex extraction system is a great example of our innovative approach in that respect. Above all, it can be used to efficiently process spent grains, orange peel and lots of resources that have not been considered at all so far (e.g. olive leaves).

The newly developed Turbex extractor is at the heart of ANDRITZ's related activities. Having completed testing on a prototype in Vierkirchen, Germany, ANDRITZ introduced it to the market recently.


With a proprietary patented technology, Turbex is designed to achieve a higher yield and consume less energy than conventional extractors - a real enabler to make the most of the valuable food resources we have!
