Tax Compliance and Tax Behavior

Our commitment to tax compliance is in line with our broader dedication to responsible corporate citizenship. We firmly believe that businesses, as integral members of society, have a responsibility to contribute to the common good, and paying taxes is one of the fundamental ways through which we fulfill that responsibility. 

The ANDRITZ Group’s Statement on Tax Behavior aims to give an insight on how ANDRITZ is handling tax matters, with focus on maintaining the highest level of tax honesty and compliance. Furthermore, this statement provides high-level information on approaches and principles regarding all tax matters within the ANDRITZ Group and describes the framework conditions we have set ourselves for dealing with all kinds of tax related matters. To provide an overall picture of how ANDRITZ acts in the world of taxes, this Statement does not only apply for corporate income taxes, but also for VAT, withholding taxes, customs duties, and all kinds of other taxes.  

Anti-bribery and anti-corruption 

ANDRITZ’s Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy underscores our commitment to ethical business and legal compliance across all operations. It applies globally to the Executive Board, directors, managers, employees, and agents of all ANDRITZ companies. The policy prohibits all forms of bribery—direct or indirect—regardless of local customs, and provides guidance on how to handle risk areas such as gifts, entertainment, donations, and third-party relationships. It also stresses the importance of accurate record-keeping, transparent reporting, and personal accountability. Approved by the ANDRITZ Executive Board, the policy reflects our dedication to doing business with integrity. 

At ANDRITZ, corruption risks are systematically assessed at the company level using defined parameters aligned with group-wide guidelines. The Executive Board oversees the implementation of these risk analyses and ensures that appropriate mitigation measures are in place.

To strengthen awareness and prevention, all employees must complete a mandatory anti-corruption eLearning program, which includes modules on the definition of corruption, corruption worldwide, prevention and legal basis. Additional training modules are assigned to high-risk functions.  

To ensure the effectiveness of its compliance measures and to drive continuous improvement, the Compliance Management System (CMS) is certified in accordance with ISO 37301. Additionally, the Anti-Corruption Management System is certified under ISO 37001. Both management systems undergo regular internal and external audits to maintain their integrity and effectiveness. 

Compliance performance indicators (CPIs) are used to monitor key areas of compliance. These indicators are consolidated and presented to the compliance directors via a dedicated compliance cockpit on a quarterly basis. 

Data protection

At ANDRITZ, protecting personal data is a core responsibility. We collect and process personal information only as needed for business operations and in full compliance with applicable laws. Access is strictly limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need. As an EU-headquartered company, we apply the high standards of the GDPR globally, ensuring strong safeguards against unauthorized access, misuse, or loss of data. In an increasingly digital world, we are also committed to upholding information security, cyber compliance, and responsible use of artificial intelligence. Our approach is guided by key documents such as ANDRITZ Code of Conduct, the Group Data Privacy and Protection Policy and the Cyber Security Compliance Statement.
