ANDRITZ receives another tissue machine order from Procter & Gamble

2008/04/29

International technology Group ANDRITZ received another order from Procter & Gamble (P&G) to supply a new tissue and towel machine for the new Family Care plant being constructed in Box Elder County, Utah, USA. Procter & Gamble, one of the largest manufacturers of consumer bath tissues and paper towels in North America, produces the brands of Charmin, Puffs, and Bounty.

The new facility and the new tissue/towel machine will enable P&G Family Care to better serve the Western U.S., which is the fastest growing region of the United States. The new tissue/towel machine start-up is scheduled for early 2010. In 2007, ANDRITZ started up a similar tissue/towel machine at Procter and Gamble’s Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA site that fully met Procter & Gamble’s expectations.

ANDRITZ Inc., Tissue Machine Division, based in Janesville, Wisconsin, USA will provide overall project management and engineering support for the machine and auxiliaries. ANDRITZ AG, Graz, Austria, and ANDRITZ Fiber Drying, Lachine, Quebec, Canada will provide the majority of the tissue machine equipment.
